Description
A stress-free, flavorful turkey breast recipe made in a slow cooker, perfect for impressing guests with juicy meat and a buttery garlic herb coating.
Ingredients
Scale
- One boneless turkey breast (about 3 to 5 pounds)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Squeeze of lemon (optional)
- Chicken broth, as needed
Instructions
- Mash the softened butter with minced garlic, fresh herbs, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Pat the turkey breast dry and rub the garlic herb butter all over the turkey, including under the skin.
- Place the turkey breast in the slow cooker and pour a little chicken broth around the sides to avoid washing away the butter.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the turkey is cooked through and tender.
- For crispy skin, broil the finished turkey breast for about 3 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
