Description

A stress-free, flavorful turkey breast recipe made in a slow cooker, perfect for impressing guests with juicy meat and a buttery garlic herb coating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • One boneless turkey breast (about 3 to 5 pounds)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Squeeze of lemon (optional)
  • Chicken broth, as needed

Instructions

  1. Mash the softened butter with minced garlic, fresh herbs, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Pat the turkey breast dry and rub the garlic herb butter all over the turkey, including under the skin.
  3. Place the turkey breast in the slow cooker and pour a little chicken broth around the sides to avoid washing away the butter.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the turkey is cooked through and tender.
  5. For crispy skin, broil the finished turkey breast for about 3 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.

Notes

Can be prepped the night before; assemble and refrigerate in the slow cooker insert.
