Description

Sticky, savory, and slightly sweet Korean BBQ Meatballs that are easy to make and a hit with the whole family.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef (or mix beef and pork)
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 3 Green onions (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Ginger (minced)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • Optional: 1 tbsp Gochujang for heat
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, panko breadcrumbs, eggs, minced garlic, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Roll the mixture into small meatballs.
  4. Chill the meatballs while preparing the sauce.
  5. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced ginger, and additional garlic. Heat until bubbling and thickened.
  6. Place meatballs on a baking sheet lined with foil and bake for about 15 minutes, or until golden.
  7. Once baked, coat meatballs in the sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Serve with fluffy white rice, in lettuce cups, or on toothpicks for parties.
