- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter
- 1 tsp vanilla (optional)
- Pinch of salt (optional)
- Coconut or crushed nuts (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, butter, milk, and cocoa.
- Heat on medium while stirring constantly until it reaches a boil.
- Boil for one minute, then remove from heat.
- Stir in peanut butter and vanilla until smooth.
- Add oats and any extras, mixing until coated.
- Drop spoonfuls onto wax paper or silicone mats and allow to cool.
- For quicker setting, place in the fridge.
Notes
If cookies are too dry, they may not have boiled long enough. Humidity can affect setting; freeze for a frosty treat.
