Classic Snowball Cookies rolled in powdered sugar with a soft, crumbly center and packed with nuts, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, room temp
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (plus more for dusting)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Cream butter and powdered sugar together until fluffy. Stir in vanilla.
  3. Add flour and salt, mix until just blended. Stir in nuts.
  4. Roll into 1-inch balls and place on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the bottoms are just golden.
  6. Cool slightly, then roll warm cookies in more powdered sugar. Let cool and roll again for an extra thick coating.

Notes

You can substitute walnuts for pecans or add tiny chocolate chips for a twist.
